AgComm News Database
The AgComm News Database was developed to replace an old system that was using Microsoft Access. I developed this project primarily by myself while teaching another coworker. The AgComm News Database allows writers to write their story, have it reviewed by an editor, approved by the source(s), and automatically published while also creating the necessary paperwork for Purdue’s Marketing and Media group all while completing easy-to-use forms. It automates several tasks that took hours to accomplish each week and everything is extensible.
A good user experience is always important for me, just one example of this is the implementation of a typeahead field. Knowing that users with knowledge of people and the institution and would prefer to type names rather than select from an enormous alphabetically ordered list. Want to know more? Ask me.
